inspired by one of my most beautiful spring memories:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I still remember \u2014<\/div>\n
that spring afternoon, dreamy and sunlit after the rain,<\/div>\n
when my mom said, \u201cLet\u2019s plant a garden together.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I dug messy holes, got dirt all over my face,<\/div>\n
but she let me lead\u2014even when I was doing it all wrong.<\/div>\n
She still made me the little captain of the garden,<\/div>\n
and somehow made me feel like I was doing a great job.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Not long after, the garden bloomed\u2014bright, loud, joyful,<\/div>\n
like Holi in India, as if every flower was celebrating.<\/div>\n
And for the first time, I felt something I\u2019d later learn to call pride\u2014<\/div>\n
not in myself,<\/div>\n
but in something we made together, hand in hand, side by side,<\/div>\n
rooted in love that lifted me more than I knew.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Looking back, I realize I didn\u2019t just learn how to plant flowers.<\/div>\n
I learned patience, trust,<\/div>\n
and how beauty can grow from mess.<\/div>\n
That crooked row of marigolds? She called it charming.<\/div>\n
The overwatered basil? \u201cIt just means you care too much.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Even now, whenever I see flowers bloom, I think of her\u2014<\/div>\n
the way she saw beauty in every mistake,<\/div>\n
the way she watered love without ever keeping score.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
She didn\u2019t just raise a child.<\/div>\n
She raised a very handsome boy with a big, big heart.<\/div>\n
And after all these years,<\/div>\n
the boy bloomed\u2014and now owns his very own flower shop (lol).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
But most importantly,<\/div>\n
she planted my heart.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
